We buy vintage Pokémon collections
Got an old Pokémon collection? We’ll turn it into cash.
Send us a few photos of what you have and we’ll come back with a cash offer within 24 hours. We pay the postage, there is nothing to sort, and nothing is agreed until you say yes.
Would you rather talk to someone?
9am–6pm, Monday to Saturday — a real person, not a chatbot.
How it works
Four steps, and the only one that needs anything from you is the first.
Step 1: Send us photos/videos
A few clear photos or a short video of what you have, taken on your phone. It takes a couple of minutes and you do not need an account.
Step 2: We look it over
A real person goes through what you sent, card by card for a binder or by volume for bulk. No sorting or pricing up on your end.
Step 3: You get a cash offer
One clear figure, emailed to you within 24 hours. Take your time over it — there is no pressure and no fee for saying no.
Step 4: We cover postage, and pay you when received
If you say yes, we send a tracked postage label at our cost, check your collection in, and pay you the agreed amount with a receipt.
What we’ve paid
“A cash offer” is an abstract thing until you see one. So here are real collections we’ve bought and what we paid for them — everything from a single card to an unsorted box.
Our reputation
VintageCardBuyer is new, so we are not going to show you reviews we do not have yet.
What we can show you is where we came from. We have been buying and selling vintage Pokémon cards on eBay as rarecandyvintage for years, and that feedback is public — it is on eBay’s site, not ours, so nothing about it has been picked or polished by us.

Once we have bought a few collections through this site, real reviews from those sellers will appear here instead.
FAQ(frequently answered questions)
Tap a question to see the answer.
Is it free to get an offer?
Yes — completely. Sending us photos and getting a cash offer costs you nothing, and you are not committed to anything by asking. If you go ahead, we pay the postage to get your collection to us as well.
What if I don't like the offer?
Then you say no, and that is the end of it. There is no pressure and no fee for turning an offer down.
If you have already posted your collection to us when you decline, we send it straight back to you at our cost.
Do I pay for postage?
No. We send you a tracked Royal Mail label — you either print it at home, or a postie brings a printed one to your door on a day you choose and takes the parcel away. Either way we pay for it.
One thing to know before you post: we film every collection as we open it and check it against the photos and video your offer was based on. If what arrives is not what we priced, we send it back to you and ask you to cover the return postage. That is the only situation in which we would ever ask you for money.
Is my collection protected while it's in the post?
Your collection travels on a tracked Royal Mail service. We give you the tracking number, and your tracking page updates on its own as the parcel moves, so you can see where it is at every stage.
When it reaches us we film it being opened, so there is a record of exactly what arrived and what condition it was in.
How do I get paid?
You choose. Most people pick a bank transfer, which is handled through Stripe — you enter your bank details on Stripe’s own secure page, not ours, so we never see or store them. You can also ask for PayPal, a cheque in the post, or a bank transfer arranged with a person over the phone.
Payment goes out once we have checked your collection, and you get a receipt for it by email.
Do I need to sort or list anything?
No. Loose in a shoebox is completely fine, and so is a neatly sleeved binder. There is nothing to sort, nothing to price up, no photos to edit and no listings to write.
Which cards do you buy?
Vintage Pokémon cards — as a rule of thumb, anything printed up to 2011. You do not need to work that out yourself; send photos of what you have and we will tell you.
How long does it all take?
You will have an offer within 24 hours of sending your photos. After that it is down to the post and to you — most collections are paid for within a few days of arriving with us.
I would rather speak to someone.
That is no problem at all. Email collections@vintagecardbuyer.co.uk and a real person will get back to you. We are around 9am–6pm, monday to saturday.
